Making changes are instrumental for growth. This can mean changing what we think, feel and do in order to create new neural connections and pathways in our brain (you will learn more about neural plasticity shortly). We do this by reading and learning new information (like in this program), having new thoughts, and experiencing and doing new things. But for it to ‘stick’, we also need to practise them by doing it over and over again, until they become automatic. Thinking about changing or doing a wellbeing program like this one can feel a little frightening or confronting and when we first think about changing we don’t always consider all the sides in a complete way.
